Next Gen Bee Program
Kamon Reynolds would like to invite young beekeepers ages 11-20 to enter to win a place in next year's Next Gen Bee Program at the North American Honey Bee Expo 2025.
This program's purpose is to help our beekeeping youth become tomorrow's successful beekeepers, mentors, and leaders. We have 30 sponsorship opportunities available this year.
If accepted, the recipient and one guardian (if over 18 a guardian is not required) would each receive tickets to NAHBE 2025 and a $300 hotel reimbursement. The reimbursement will be given (by check) at the conference.
To enter:
You must present a 3-5 minute video (in your own words) on how you got started with bees, what you do with your bees, what you would like to do with your bees in the future, and what you hope to learn by attending our conference. A short email with more details and pictures of your beekeeping activities would be helpful but is not required.
All applications must be sent in before August 31st!
The results will be announced Sept. 15th.
Important things to note:
You are responsible for making your own hotel reservations.
We do not compensate for travel or parking.
If you are accepted and you have already paid for NAHBE tickets, you will be refunded.
We will not share or use your video.
Your video does not have to be public & the amount of "likes & shares" it has will not affect our decision.
The video should be original to you. We aren't looking for cookie-cutter answers. We want to determine who will benefit the most from this experience. Please show us examples of what you are currently doing and explain what you are working towards.
There will be some specific sessions and activities exclusively for the Next Gen Beekeepers that you will be asked to attend. But most of your time will be free to go to the sessions that interest you most or just network with other beekeepers or vendors. More details to follow if you are accepted.
